A business is similar to a plant when it comes to growing and flourishing. You’re either adding to its growth by watering it and providing it with sunlight, or you’re letting it drown or dry up. With a business, if you’re not proactive with finding new customers and providing your current customers with meaningful opportunities, then the business’s opportunities will start to dry up. If you haven’t taken any actions lately to help your business, then the chances are that the business will start to go downhill in the next few months. To save your business, or to give it a kickstart, here is how you can improve it within the next 30 days.

  1. Start with the Customers that You Have

The very first thing that you should do is make sure that the customers that you have been enjoying good interactions when they buy your services. There are two ways that you can do this. First, train your employees. Your employees are the face of your company and interact directly with the customers. Because of this, if your employees aren’t trained to interact with customers, then the customers could walk away with a negative experience. Show your employees how to read body language, and how they should talk to and resolve any concerns that the customers could approach them with.

The second thing that you should do is get feedback from your customers. You could do this through an emailed survey (with their permission), or you can leave out comment cards in the business for them to fill out. This allows you to have a glimpse into the minds of the people who are buying your service so that you can know how to best improve.

  1. Advertise Right

A huge part of growing a business is advertising. This is how you reach the right people and how you get people interested in your service. One of the best ways to do this is through link building. Link building helps your website to appear in the top searching of a web browser. It means that when people search for your service or your product, yours will be one of the first that appear which makes it extremely likely that the person will click on your service.

Another great way to advertise is by making it specific to the age group that you are marketing towards. You can do this easily by advertising on social media. Most social media outlets allow you to pick an age group that will see the ads. To optimize your results, you use a variety of different types of ads combined with link building.

  1. Rethink Your Finances

You should go through your finances once a month to make sure that the things that need attention are getting it and the things that don’t need financing are cut from the budget. This is important because a major reason why businesses fail is that the finances weren’t used right. Go through everything that pulled money away from the business last month (or the last year if you haven’t done this recently) and make a note of how much is spent on what. Then, rank the items and prioritize them. If the money is being spent on luxuries rather than necessities, then fix the priorities of the company.

  1. Train Your Manager

The next highest reason why businesses fail is that they had poor management. A Manager is who runs the business when you’re not there so you want someone who can run the business better than you can run it yourself. You have a right to be extremely picky when hiring a manager to manage the business.

If you make all of these changes, you will see exponential growth within 30 days of starting. You will have better-trained employees and happier customers. You will see that your finances are going to the things that matter and that you will be pulling more revenue from the things that don’t matter as much.
